Civil Engineering
ILANZI PROJECTS has planned, designed and undertaken construction supervision of several kilometres of both sealed and gravel access roads.

Structural Engineering
ILANZI PROJECTS has planned, designed and undertaken construction supervision of building structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, pad foundation, etc.

Water Engineering
We offer the design, development, management and maintenance of sewer reticulation, water reticulation, storm water drainage systems and canals.

Project Management
We offer Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM), which include budgeting, planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), mitigating risks as well as dealing with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) issues on project sites.

Who we are

ILANZI PROJECTS (Pty) Ltd (“herein called ilanzi Projects”) is an emerging black-owned South African Civil Engineering and Project Management professional firm. We design, develop, manage and maintain civil engineering infrastructure. Our name “ILANZI” means the rising sun, which depicts our hunger to strive to deliver professional services to our clients to the best of our abilities. Hence, our catch phrase: “Dedicated Expertise”.

ILANZI PROJECTS was established in response to the gap and scarcity of professional engineers and project managers of colour, in the built industry. Intensive market research highlighted that there existed service delivery opportunities in the provision of infrastructure development sector of the built industry.

As an emerging professional consulting firm, ILANZI PROJECTS is hungry for growth and innovation. This is explained in our search for new knowledge at all times, to help us respond to important challenges encountered during our project operations.

We have amongst our staff dedicated men and women, willing to take on the challenges that we are faced with, as a small company operating in a highly specialised sector of the built industry. However, we are always determined to strive to deliver the projects to the best of our abilities according to scope.

Our strengths are embedded in the fact that we have a small team of engineering professionals (ECSA registered) and Project Management Professionals (PMI USA registered). Furthermore, we have established strategic alliances with other fields of engineering consultants to partner with when required.

As an emerging SMME in the built industry, we share knowledge with other emerging contractors during the development and construction of infrastructure of projects. Job creation is also achieved for our people in the communities where these projects are developed.

Our Company is forty percent female owned since we are in support of women-empowerment.

We are a level 1 (EME) BBBEE contributors.

Civil Engineering Design and Documentation

The Civil Engineering Design is undertaken by use of AutoCAD Civil3D which is the civil engineering software that supports Building Information Modelling (BIM) with integrated features which enable us to improve drafting, design and construction documentation for civil engineering, energy and utilities, infrastructure, land development and renewable projects.

Project Management

We can manage the full project life cycle from conception, feasibility study, design, implementation, and handover to the clients. The company uses the project management methodology based on the PMBOK.

Structural Analysis and Design

Structural Analysis and Design is undertaken by use of STAAD Pro design software. This software enables us to perform 3D structural analysis and design for both steel and concrete structures.

A physical model created in structural design software can be transformed into an analytical model for structural analysis. The software incorporates many design codes to make sure that the structural design complies with local regulations.

Construction Management

The company has the capacity to provide professional construction management services that provide the project owners with the effective management of the project’s schedule, cost, quality, safety, scope, and function.

Contract Management

The company has the capacity to manage legally binding agreements from initiation through execution using different contract formats like GCC, NEC4, FIDIC and JBCC.
